NEW MUSIC: "FOR A PIMP" - BOSS PIMP (-ARTIST EXCLUSIVE-)

---EXCLUSIVE!!!---

Boss Pimp

If there was a soundtrack for the streets of Charlotte, Boss Pimp would surely be the author. Given the name “Boss Man” by his father because of his dominant attitude, this Carolina born and bred artist is the epitome of an entertainer. As he got older he dropped the “Man” from his nickname and replaced it with “Pimp” because he loved their flashy lifestyle. Growing up admiring a wide range of artists such as: Bigga Boo Black, OutKast, Goodie Mob, Sade, Anita Baker, Ron Isley, KC & JoJo, Cash Money and P. Diddy; you can hear the variety of his musical taste in every song.  Charismatic, animated and different are three words you can use to describe his style of artistry. Not allowing himself to be placed into a box as just a rapper, he displays his talents by harmonizing on many tracks: drawing numerous comparisons to the rapper Cee Lo Green.

Although he had been writing rhymes since he knew how to write, it wasn’t until 2001 when Boss decided to share his talents with the world. After receiving a standing ovation at his very first performance, he knew that he had a knack for entertaining crowds and began to build his buzz. Over the next few years Boss Pimp would become a presence at every open mic and artist showcase in Charlotte and the surrounding area. With his energetic stage show and signature call of “Hiiiiiiiiiii”, he would become a crowd favorite and win every artist competition he entered. Performing at venues in Greensboro, Raleigh, Atlanta, Richmond (VA), Alabama and Florida it wasn’t long before he built a serious buzz as one of the top artists in the region. This recognition allowed him to perform as the opening act for many mainstream artists at concerts in Charlotte. Using the momentum he gained from his shows, he released his first independent album “Southern F.r.i.e.d." (Southern Folks Reaching Intensively Every Day). Only two months after performing the single off the album titled, ‘Put Yo Mouth On Me’, he was offered a recording contract and received radio play for two years. He remains an independent artist but recently joined with No Question Music Group in an effort to break through as a national recording artist.

With so much violence in today’s society Boss Pimp only has one mission: “To keep it fun and interesting, music is supposed to be like watching a movie, you walk away from a song still feeling something from that song. I try to not cross that line of what we call killing music, you know, we got enough violence in today’s music. I want to bring the smiles back to music.” You will find out that every bit of that quote is true if you are ever fortunate enough to see him perform live. The energy he brings to the stage each time is infectious, no matter if there are five or five thousand in the crowd. He loves to have fun on stage and shows it by smiling and dancing throughout his set. When asked what his vision is for his career he replied, “My vision with music is to put the fun back in it and make it exciting and crazy with my animation, skills and determination. Good music and a great performance is how I put on a show! I love pleasing my fans.” Anybody who has witnessed him live can attest to that.
